I am one of those who favour most the return of
Wong Ching Wai to resume his office. The repeated
telegrams I have sent to urge his return, suffices to
show my real mind and intention. Fortunately he has
at last fixed a date for his return, and the hole country
will soon see its hopes in this respect realised.
In my recent speech on the subject of General Rules
for Kuomintang Propaganda" I took the opportunity of
expressing how eagerly I was looking forward to this. As
to his delay in returning, Comrade Wong will surely account
for this satisfactorily to you when he comes back. At the
moment I will not venture to surmise the reason.

Executive Committee are now in Hu-peh, and I have no need to answer again for them. I learn that there have been posted up at Wu-han some placards "Congratulations to Generalissimo Cheung on his securing the union with us of the Central Kuomintang Department and the Nationalist Govern- ment." This appears to imply that I appropriated these two establishments to myself, and stopped them on their journey. Strange to relate these baseless rumours, expressly designed to cause a split in the Party, have proved as effective to that end as those which caused men (in ancient times) to believe that Tsang Sham had killed a man. I hope you will ask Tam Yin Hoi and our other Comrades who are now with you what the real facts are.
If
I have really done any of the things that I am alleged to have done, I am willing to submit myself for judgment and be convieted and punished. If it is proved otherwise I beg that the Central Government will give publicity to my conduct during my past life, so that no intrigue may
succeed in creating a split among us.
